Bleed Radio Bleed will be appearing at The Trash Bar in Brooklyn tomorrow night June 23nd at 9PM. The show is $6 with an open bar from 8-9PM.
This Saturday June 27th, The Silence Kit will be playing at the Arlene’s Grocery, 95 Stanton Street NY, NY at 11PM. Show is 21+
Come out and support the bands if you’re in the area.

We had a chance to sit in on a practice session with The Silence Kit last week while delivering another batch of CDs. It sounds like they’ve been busy writing and recording, and their new stuff sounds great.

Another Break Even CD hits the free market today. South Jersey’s The Silence Kit’s latest is available now through Break Even Direct for $6ppd and will be available through our online retailers next month. Check back for updates and more content soon.
So what do you do a 17 hour day after traveling round trip to NYC for a comic book show? Hit the El Bar for a rock show, of course. Our friends SICU were playing one of the last truly great dive bars in the city for their record release show. Upon taking the stage, they communicated their intentions to “simplify” things and did so with a 40+ minute punk set that made me smile.
Break Even crew members were in attendance at the Third Annual New York Comic Con this weekend. It was a long day of meeting and speaking with creators in the industry, previewing new releases and hobnobbing with celebrities.
Old releases are finding new life in our warehouse. In an effort to repurpose our overstocked CDs, we’ve begun measures to recycle common materials to reduce waste and space. Releases from our early days have a chance to give back by nobly stepping aside to make way for the new.
